Playing Hurt

Sigh.

I’m injured again.

First of All, I went to The Building With The Good Dog Smells one day. It was kind of fun, but here’s my problem. When I am in the cage there, there are walls that are not see-thru on the sides and so I can’t see stuff, like the other dogs and the people who take me for walks. BUT, if I crawl to the see-thru wall with the door and put my legs under and stick my face under – I can see stuff. That’s how I got this situation on my nose:

The Situation On My Nose

Then, The Bouncy One was playing some really good ball with me and I hurt my foot again. I try not to limp when they are looking, because I notice that if I limp, they won’t play ball with me or take me on good walks. But The Serious One is REALLY observant and he caught me. So here I sit with nothing to do but spy on the cats and get the occasional bad walk.

Sigh.

Gone With The Wind

OMG OMG OMG, it’s been super exciting times…. I have so many stories. Here's what happened.

When I was loaded up that day in the car, it turns out The Serious One took me to The House with The Creek, which I also call The House Without the Cats, which took a really long time to get to because we made many stops along the way. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE The House with The Creek. The Serious One and I had a great time because he is very relaxed like me. We spent a lot of time at the Creek but we also spent a lot of time with visitors who would walk around the house and talk talk talk.

One time he took me to a place with my leash on where there were lots and lots of people, but not a lot of dogs. This made me EXTREMELY popular. Everyone would come up to me and pet me, especially the short ones that have high voices. The Seriouos One even got me new balls which make a squeeky sound.

Me, Chasing Really Big Sticks

When we came back to The House with the Cats, it was very lonely for many days. Then one day, The Serious One loaded me in to the car and took me for a ride. When we stopped, I could not believe who opened the door ... THE GIRL!!! ....she had walked right by The Serious One and opened the door and gave me super intense hugs. The Serious One had on a sad face until she hugged him. And then guess who I saw??? THE BOY !!! More hugs and then they sat in the back seat with me and and we drove back to The House With The Cats.

Here's what I don't understand. They really looked like they were super happy to see me but then the VERY next day, The Bouncy One and The Overly Affectionate One show up and we are all back in the car with The Boy and The Girl for a long ride. Then they jump out of the car, hug hug hug and I haven't seen them since. Thank God I have my new balls.

Somethings Up

Okay, so here's what's happening. I woke up this morning and I thought of The Girl. I can't explain it but I just got a tingling feeling about her. Or maybe it was just that piece of old cheese I ate off the floor... I dunno.

BUT there is something a brewing around here. It started yesterday when I was very very excited to watch what was happening with the CATS. The Serious One was seriously running around the house trying to catch them. And then when he did, he put them in these little CAGES! I have never seen them in cages so I was super happy to know that I was not the only one who was CAGED. They did NOT like it at all and made a bunch of racket and then he took them away.

Then The Overly Affectionate One, who apparently lives here now, and The Bouncy One, mostly spent a lot of time running around the house and completely ignoring me except when The Overly Affectionate One would bombard me with hugs, kisses and baby talk and then skedaddle.

Then I really knew something was up when this morning, after my usual push out the window, The Bouncy One decides that its time for me to eat, and it was REALLY early. After all this time she still tries to make me do thinks I do not want to do. Such as eat breakfast in the morning. I prefer to eat a little later in the day, but every so often she tries to make me eat by saying things like "Eat your breakfast now Sylvester". Yeah right. Have you seen my breakfast? It's just like my dinner.

Me, Not Eating My Breakfast

Then I saw The Serious One put my bed in the big car and loaded me up. OH Boy, looks like another road trip. Wonder where I'm going now???

Grounded

Okay, Here's what's happened. Apparently, I've been grounded. Could be due to last week's bad decision to take myself on a good walk. This week has been s.l.o.w.

Before we left the House with the Creek, The Overly Affectionate One came by and brought me presents. I got a new collar and two new balls. I do not think it is a coincidence that I got a new collar the day after I broke out of my old one.

The new balls are SWEET. I like it when I have two because that means I don't actually have to bring the one that I catch back to the thrower immediately. I can just drop it whereever and they throw another and then they have to go get the first one. hee hee hee.. they fall for it everytime.

But here's the thing. I kind of have a sports injury. I twisted my front right leg playing catch and now I have The One That Is Seriously Concerned About My Health, touching, bending and squeezing my leg several times a day which HURTS. I also notice that he will not play ball with me or take me on good walks. I hope I don't get fat.
