Finger Lickin' Good

I'm really mad at The Bouncy One.  So here's what happened:

There are chickens in the backyard.  They live in a box in a cage in a cage (which looks like the work of The One Who Must Be Seriously Concerned About Their Health Too).   This makes it very hard for me to make friends with them or see if they taste good.

At first when I came here and went into the backyard to visit the chickens, they would be SO excited - they would flap their wings and jump all around.  They would make all these screeching noises as if to say hello.  I think they loved it when I came to visit.

The Chickens Being Excited to See Me

Now, when I go to see the chickens, they are not even a little bit excited to see me.  They just scamper into the Box in the Cage in the Cage.

So anyway, the other day, I was tied up to the back porch minding my own business when who should wander by but THE CHICKENS !!  They were out of their box in the cage in the cage and coming my way!  I ran to try and greet them (or possibly see if they taste good) and when I did, I knocked over something that made a Big sound.  Because I was tied to the orange rope I could not reach the chickens.  The Bouncy One was right there when it happened and was very very angry with me because of the loud sound.

The Thing that Made the Loud Sound When it Fell Down

Then she goes over and gets the chickens and puts them back in the Box in the Cage in the Cage and I didn't even get to say hello to them (or possibly see if they taste good).

So now I am mad at The Bouncy One for yelling at me.

Dam It !

The Beavers are gone.  So here’s what happened:
1.  Long car ride.  They won’t let me sit up front.

Me, Not Sitting Up Front
2.  Stay in Pet Friendly Hotel.  Got yelled at for doing my business too close to the Pet Friendly Hotel door.

Me, At the La Quinta

3.  Got to the House With the Creek and I was Really Really Really excited to go see the Beavers (which I use to call Giant Rats but now know are actually beavers).   When I got to the creek I was confused because it was just a plain old creek - boring not exciting like last time.  I looked and looked and looked for the Beavers but they were no where to be seen.  Then we looked at where the Giant Pile of sticks use to be and that was all broken up.

4.  Went for a short walk to a nice place with water falling out of the sky.  The Serious One makes me wear this uncomfortable thing on my hurt leg which is confusing because it makes it bother me more to wear this uncomfortable thing but my leg hurts less when I walk.

5.  Forgot about the Giant Rats Beavers when I saw some really tall dogs with super sharp ears out the window.

Is This Really Necessary Doctor??

Okay, Sigh, Here's What Happened.

I love Sleeping.  I love Napping.  I like to take a long nap in the evening before I go to sleep for the night.  But lately, when I wake up from a nap or sleep, I can't get up on my leg.  It REALLY hurts and then I have to do a funny kind of walk that makes it so it doesn't hurt so much.

Now, I can't really say for sure how I came to hurt my leg, but I can say that The One That is Seriously Concerned About My Health will not do anything with me nowadays, like a ball toss or a good walk with running.  The Bouncy One will sneak in a ball toss when The Serious One is not around, but it's the kind of ball toss where she throws it right at my head and I don't get to jump. She is not a very good thrower, so sometimes she hits me in the face.

So yesterday, The Serious One loads me up and takes me to the Building with the Good Dog Smells.  Of course, first thing, I am put in a cage:

Me, In Cage

Then I am taken out of the cage and I think I am going on a good walk, but NO… they give me a pinch in my behind and the next thing I know I am really relaxed on this cart:
Me on Cart, with some admirers

Me on Cart, getting sleepy

I fell asleep for awhile while they moved me around and did stuff to me:

I don’t remember this part

......Or this part

When I opened my eyes, I saw The One Who Is Seriously Concerned About My Health looking at a picture of what looks like the stuff I use to find in the woods back in Montana and chew on.
Looks like chew toys to me!

Anyway,  I was eventually put back in a cage and then he took me home later.  I have no idea what this day was all about, but my leg is feeling better.

Leave it to Beaver

Okay, so here's what happened.  I did go to The House With The Creek,  but because of The Bouncy One, we got there more quickly with not so many stops for sniffing along the side of the roads.

Here's what I like to do when I'm at The House With The Creek..... I like to stick like a tick to the people.  I never leave any one's side.  When I am in this house there are NO CATS and I get to roam around where ever I want.   Also, if I hang around a lot, I might remind them how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to the creek.

My paw still hurts, so there have not been too many good walks or ball tosses, but there were a lot of walks to the creek,  especially with The Serious One.  The Bouncy One was always always always pulling the plants out of the ground instead of paying attention to me.   I think it's not fair that she pulls plants out of the ground but then yells at me when I dig nice holes in the same place.

Anyway,  on our first walk to the creek we saw something super exciting.  The Serious One was as excited as I was, which is something you don't see a lot.

The super exciting thing we saw was a GIANT RAT swimming in the creek.   I was so excited I forgot all about doing my business and instead really wanted to go swimming with the Giant Rat and his buddy who showed up.  But the Serious One wouldn't let me go in the creek, which was really really deep.  I don't remember it being this deep before.

I was on the side of the creek, when all of a sudden another one of the Giant Rats jumped off the side and into the creek.  I tried to swim after it, but it was very very fast and swam into a big pile of trees in the creek and escaped.

The Place Where the Giant Rat Escaped
The Serious One took me down the creek a bit and we saw another exciting thing.   There was Super  BIG pile of sticks all the way across the creek which was not there the last time I visited the creek.  This was very confusing.  On the one side of the pile of sticks the creek was deep and exciting.  On the other side of the sticks, it was boring.  But, I was so happy that it was deep and exciting on OUR side of the sticks.

The Serious One is very serious about going to the creek now.  We go many times a day to look for the Giant Rats with the Giant Tails.

Exciting Side, Right; Boring Side, Left
We also had some visitors.  The Overly Affectionate One came one night with a bunch of Beyootiful People.  They loved me.  Here is a picture and you can see how they adored me.  There were no walks or no ball tosses from them, but they smelled good.

On the Road Again

I remember once I made a bad decision and ate a little something off the side of the road. When I have to load up in the car and see that my bed is in there, I know that my stomach is going to be feeling the same way it did back then. But, car rides are exciting cause it means I'm going somewhere. Due to amount of gear I'm crushed against, I'm betting it's to The House With The Creek.
